Preferences › Guides & Grid › Show Pixel Grid (Above 600% Zoom) was stored and never read. On (the default), in View › Pixel Preview at 600% zoom and above the canvas draws a translucent line at every document pixel over the art, so the pixels the art rasterizes to can be seen; nothing below 600%, out of Pixel Preview, or with the option off. Drawn by the same `grid()` as the document grid, at a 1 pt spacing. A headless frame test counts the pixel grid's lines at 800%, 500% and 600%, in and out of Pixel Preview and with the option off, and checks they are drawn over the art.
