# Git and pull requests

- Name branches `dev-<user>-<topic>`, for example `dev-nkolev92-fixFlakyTest`.
- Preserve and complete the [pull request template](../PULL_REQUEST_TEMPLATE.md).
- Before submitting a pull request, run `dotnet format whitespace --verify-no-changes NuGet.sln` and correct any reported formatting issues.
- Follow the repository's [workflow guidance](../../docs/workflow.md) for reviews and merging.
